Scioto River Hunting CLub has designated over 300 Acres on the property as a private preserve for pheasant hunting, providing one of the best hunting grounds in the area. Licensed and approved by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife, S.R.H.C. is a corporation organized under the laws of Ohio and dedicated to the ethical pursuit of game and wildlife preservation in the Upper Scioto River Valley. Reservations are required and all hunts are scheduled for three hours of field time. Hunters are assigned to, and have exclusive use of, a specific field, ensuring all hunters a safe and enjoyable experience. There is a minimum bird requirment of three birds/gun, with a one time gunning fee, but no hunting fee. Experienced club employees will "set" the birds, after hunters arrive, in a 50/50 mix (half hens, half roosters), and are available for bird-cleaning at reasonable rates. Hunters are welcome to bring their own dogs or the club can arrange the services of an experienced guide and field-tested dog (pointers or flushers) with a limit of six guns/guide. There are no charges for more birds shot than released. 2006-2007 Rates:

Ohio residents are required by law to have an Ohio license on private preserves; S.R.H.C. requires all guns to sign a "Release of Liability" prior to hunting. It is expected that hunters will wear "hunter orange". The season opens in November and closes in March.
